BUSA snatches British-America Trophy from Tufts/Harvard All-star team

In one of four biannual trophy matches between British University and ICSA All-Stars, BUSA claims the 2015 BA trophy 3 - 2.  Piers Park Sailing Center in East Boston hosted the teams in four fairly evenly matched Sonars.  Winds were not great, West 1-7 knots and West is from the Boston skyscrapers.  As slow as the racing was at times the action was incredible approaching every finish line. "It's never over until it's over," a famous Yogi Berra line, was in play here as neither team could break away into a 1 - 2 combo until multiple gibes and dial-ups were made by both teams just short of the finish line.  Penalties ended up deciding some races in favor of both teams with calls coming from umpires made up of knowledgeable  leftovers from BUSA and Tufts.

BUSA also bested Georgetown Laser all-stars in the Laser Performance Trophy at Georgetown in Laser team racing earlier this week.  The two remaining showdowns will be match racing Navy 44s in Annapolis for the Lord King Trophy and dinghy team racing at St. Mary's for the Lipton Trophy.  BUSA will also be entering teams in the Nevins at Kings Point and in the St. Mary's Fall inter-conference regatta to finish up their tour.  Last weekend they competed in the Harry Anderson at Yale and made several stops for team racing at Coast Guard, Tufts, BU and MIT and elsewhere.
