NEISA Sailors of the Week, Weekend 10, Spring 2018


***Baird and Nicolosi are the NEISA Coed Sailors of the Week***

New London, CT—4/11/18-Nicholas Baird ’19 and Graceann Nicolosi ’20 are the NEISA Coed Sailors of the Week for leading the Yale Bulldogs to victory at the New England Team Race Championship for the Fowle Trophy hosted by Connecticut College.  The duo from Yale led the Bulldogs to a 15-3 record, winning the championship.

***Steadman and Hutchinson are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week***

Branford, CT—4/11/18-Hannah Steadman ’20 and Annabelle Hutchinson ’21 are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week after winning B-division at the Emily Wick Trophy hosted by Yale.  The duo from Brown won six of the nine races, winning their division by twenty-five points in very tricky and wavy conditions.  Steadman and Hutchinson lead the Brown Bears to a second place overall finish.

Around the Conference

Along with Yale, Roger Williams, Dartmouth, and Boston College qualified for the Team Race National Championship hosted by Old Dominion May 26-28.  Massachusetts Maritime and Middlebury qualified for the New England Dinghy Champs by finishing first and second at the New England Dinghy Tournament.  URI won the Tyrell Trophy, J 70 Open, and Southern 5.  Tufts won the Mystic Lake Team Race.
