Sailors of the Week, Weekend 10, Spring 2015


***Bailey and Barnard are the NEISA Sailors of the Week***

Cambridge, MA—4/13/15-Will Bailey ’15 and Beth Barnard ’15 of the Boston College Eagles are the NEISA Sailors of the Week after leading BC to the win at the Fowle Trophy.  The Eagles had a clear speed advantage over the rest of the competition and finished with a 16-2 record.  Bailey and Barnard’s contributions both on and off the water propelled the team to victory at this New England Championship.

***Kiss and Doris are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week***

New London, Ct—4/13/15-Morgan Kiss ’15 and Natalya Doris ’17 are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week after winning A-division at the Emily Wick Trophy.  The duo from Yale won four of the sixteen races with all but one of the races in the top seven.  The Bulldogs won A-division by thirty-nine points and lead Yale to overall victory.

Around the Conference

Along with Boston College, Roger Williams, Yale, and Tufts all qualified for Team Race Nationals.  Brown finished second with MIT third at the Emily Wick Trophy.  Tufts won the Mystic Lake Team Race.  BU Won the Alymers Trophy and the Tyrell Trophy.  Middlebury won the New England Dinghy Tournament and will be joined by Johnson and Wales at the New England Dinghy Champs hosted by Salve Regina May 2-3.
