St. Petersburg, Fla. (May 30, 2013) – Thursday night was the final ICSA awards banquet at St. Petersburg Yacht Club in St. Petersburg, Fla. after the last day of racing for the ICSA/Gill Coed Dinghy National Championship. The Coed and Crew ICSA All-Americans, Everett B. Morris Trophy for the College Sailor of the Year, Robert H. Hobbs Sportsmanship Award and the Leonard M. Fowle Trophy for the Best Overall Team were presented. The names of the winners will be added to the ICSA Hall of Fame display located in the Robert Crown Center at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.
St. Petersburg, Fla. (May 28, 2013) – Today was the first day of the ICSA/Gill Coed National Championship, co-hosted by the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg, Eckerd College and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. The top eighteen collegiate sailing teams in the nation reported to the regatta venue on Tampa Bay in St. Petersburg, Fla. to compete for the Henry A. Morss Memorial Trophy, awarded to the winning team. The trophy was donated by a group of nationally known yachtsmen as a memorial to Henry A. Morss, a Boston yachtsman and 1907 Bermuda Race winner, as well as a Massachusetts Institute of Technology alumnus and benefactor.
