Coaches,

It’s that time of year again!  I want to invite you all to the 2013 coaches’ colloquium.  What this is a productive 3 days of talking and skiing about the topics that effect college sailing and affect us as coaches.  We love to have a mix of guests to come in and speak to us as well as hear from the experts among us and share ideas and methods with each other.  The spirit of the 3 days is that of being open to new ideas and sharing your ideas.  Some of the best talks we had last year was sitting around a kitchen and talking about our favorite drills etc..  This is what this meeting time is all about.

This year we have a special guest Josh Adams who is the newest member of the US SAILING Team Sperry Topsider and is the new leader of our Olympic and development efforts here in the US.  Josh is also an All American and national champion from Tufts.  Go Jumbos!  We are really excited to spend some time with him as he shares his ideas on Olympic development and how we can help.  Jerry from Gill will be back to show us his latest line of Gill product as well.

We are always open to more guests and very open to daily topics so please email me ideas and contacts and I will put it together!  This meeting is for all of us so please send in your ideas.  We will also do something a little different this year that each conference will be responsible for an evening or daily topic that they want to see discussed.  These topics should be more on the lines of coaching and running the team issues rather than legislation, we will talk about that too I’m sure.

So NEISA coaches, MAISA Coaches and others please start sending in ideas!

Dates:  Jan. 8th-11th

Jan 8th is an arrival day and we will meet for dinner at the Wastach Brewery around 6pm.

Meeting is Jan. 12th

Location:  Park City

Transportation:  Salt Lake Airport, I will work to compile a list of arrivals so we can minimize rental cars.

Lodging:  Information will be emailed out by Danielle but we have the 2 condo’s and the Peaks hotel again!

Any questions please let me know.
