St. Petersburg, Fla. (November 24, 2013) – The Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Match Race National Championship for the Cornelius Shields, Sr. Trophy was completed today after three days of racing. The event began on Friday, November 22 and was hosted by the St. Petersburg Yacht Club and the University of South Florida. Competitors sailed out of the St. Petersburg Sailing Center and racing took place on Tampa Bay.
Minneapolis, Minn. (November 21, 2013) – The Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Match Race National Championship for the Cornelius Shields, Sr. Trophy, is set to begin tomorrow, Friday, November 22 and will last through Sunday, November 24. The event is hosted by the St. Petersburg Yacht Club and racing will take place in Tampa Bay.
Minneapolis, Minn. (November 10, 2013) – The Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA)/LaserPerformance Men’s and Women’s Singlehanded National Championships, hosted by Brown University and Salve Regina University, wrapped today in Newport, RI. The championships included the top 18 men and 18 women singlehanded sailors in the nation. The event was held out of Sail Newport and sailors competed on windward/leeward courses with four legs on Narragansett Bay.
(PLYMOUTH, MA) – British manufacturer Marlow Ropes and the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association of North America have announced a partnership through the 2015 college sailing season whereby Marlow will become the Official Rope of College Sailing and will be presenting sponsor of the newly named Marlow Ropes College Sailor of the Year Award. Each spring, this award will recognize the top performer in intercollegiate sailing for the previous fall and spring seasons. The 2013 recipient was College of Charleston’s Juan Maegli.
