NEISA Regatta Report Weekend 4


Bristol, RI – 3/27/21 – Roger Williams University hosted The University of Rhode Island for The Robin Wallace Fleet Race and Team Race.  These two events were named in honor of Newport sailing hero and champion Dr. Robin Wallace who recently passed away. The 17-boat, five race fleet race regatta was won by Roger Williams sailors Cameron Wood ’22 and Emily Gildea ’21 with a score line of 1,12,2,2,1.  Roger Williams also won the team race portion of the event with a perfect 5-0 record.  The winning team consisted of crews Molly Matthews ’23, Emily Gildea ’21, Annika Irene ’23 Rachel Holick ’12 and skippers Aiden Hoogland ’24, Cameron Wood ’22 and Riley Read ’21.

 

New London, CT – 3/27/21 – Connecticut College hosted Boston College for the Thames River Team Race. Each school fielded three teams each with the Boston College team of Robert Hunter '22 Nicole Moeder '22 Colleen O'Brien '24 Laura Ferraris '22 Jack DeNatale '22 Elizabeth Russell '21 taking the event with a perfect score of 10-0 in the double round robin event.
