***Elizabeth Kaplan and Hattie Slayton are the NEISA Women’s Sailor of the Week***
St. Mary’s City, MD 3/19-20/22 - Elizabeth Kaplan ‘23 and Hattie Slayton ’23 of Bowdoin College are the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week. Kaplan and Slayton finished 5th place in A-Division at the most competitive women’s fleet race of the season so far. Kaplan and Slayton had an impressive 11 top 10 finishes over 18 races which helped keep the Polar Bears inside the top 10 overall.
***Samuel Merson and Celia Byrne are the NEISA Coed Sailors of the Week***
New London, CT 3/19-20/22 - Samuel Merson ’22 and Celia Byrne ’24 of Tuft University are the Coed NEISA Sailors of the Week. Sailing in the Southern New England Team Race hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Merson and Byrne proved the be boat on the Jumbo team the was consistently solid leading the Jumbos to a 16-2 record over two days of sailing on the Thames River.
