NEISA Sailors of the Week, Spring 2024, Weekend 1


Cambridge, MA – March 3, 2024 – The Spring team racing season is officially underway in NEISA! The Boston College Eagles are the NEISA Women’s Team of the Week following their performance at the Harvard Women’s Team Race. The site of the 2024 Team Race Nationals, Harvard University put on a great regatta, despite challenging conditions. After a long wind delay on Saturday that resulted in no racing, the Eagles, comprised of Caroline Sibilly ’26, Sara Schumann ’25, and led by seniors Colleen and Michaela O’Brien ’24, Katelyn McGauley ’24 and Libby Redmond ’24, channeled their “Eagle Sunday” energy into a 7-1 record.

 

Providence, RI – March 3, 2024 – The Sharpe Team Race, hosted by Brown University, saw a competitive 8 team field kick off the first weekend of team racing in NEISA. Following their tie-breaking win over Yale, Harvard University’s Lachlain McGranahan ’24, Alexandra Dorofeev ’25, Justin and Mitchell Callahan ’26,  Kennedy Leehealey ’26, Aidan Pesce ’26 and Robby Meek ’27 are the NEISA Open Team of the Week. Harvard went 12-2 in the two rounds sailed, ending the second round with an undefeated 7-0 record.
