***Long, Abate and Cho are the NEISA Coed Sailors of the Week***
New London, CT – 9/30-10/1/17 – Trevor Long ’19, Marcus Abate ’20, and Julia Cho ’20 of MIT are the NEISA Coed Sailors of the Week after winning B-division at the Danmark Trophy at the US Coast Guard Academy this weekend. The trio propelled the Engineers to a 2nd place finish overall, in an incredibly tight and competitive field and in some very tricky wind and current conditions. The Charleston Cougars claimed overall victory in the 20 team event.
Around the District
Dartmouth defended their home turf with a win at the three-division Hewitt Trophy. Boston College claimed victory on the Charles River at the Smith Trophy, hosted by MIT. Coast Guard won the J70 Invite #3 at home. URI travelled to Cornell to claim 2nd place overall at the Susan Rogers Memorial regatta, sailed in blustery conditions on Cayuga Lake.
