The Harvard team claimed the #1 seed in the initial round robin with a dominant 7-1 record, losing only to Coast Guard. In the knockout round, the team continued their winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Tufts in the quarterfinals. An early loss in the semifinals, once again to Coast Guard, was quickly avenged in the following two races to claim the series 2-1. In the shortened finals, the Crimson claimed a convincing 2-0 victory over the 2022 ICSA Match Race National Champion Yale Bulldogs. Their win earns the Harvard Crimson an automatic qualification to the ICSA Match Race Nationals next month at Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club.

Annapolis, MD – 10/13/24 – The Yale Bulldogs’ Carmen Cowles ’25 and Sarah Moeder ‘26 have been named the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week. The duo claimed 2nd place in A-Division at the highly competitive Women’s Atlantic Coast Championship Finals. Cowles and Moeder showed remarkable consistency in a range of challenging conditions with only three finishes outside the top 10 and more than half of their finishes inside the top five. Their strong finish helped Yale to a comfortable 2nd place overall and top NEISA team at the championship.
