NEISA Sailors of the Week, Weekend 7, Fall 2025

Harvard Sailors, Justin Callahan ‘26, Jacob Posner ‘29 and Aidan Pesce ’26, have been named the NEISA Sailors of the Week for their performance at the Open Atlantic Coast Championships, hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy. The Crimson trio bested a very talented fleet in winning A-division. This marks the fourth time that Callahan has won his division in the Atlantic Coast Championship! Callahan and Posner started the regatta by winning the first race on Saturday. After stumbling to twelfth place in race two, they only finished outside the top five once (sixth place in race eight). When the breeze and sea state ramped up on Sunday, Callahan teamed up with Pesce for the last four races. Harvard’s dynamic duo went, “snake eyes”, in the last set to lead the Crimson to victory overall!

Carly Kieding ’29 and Sarah Moeder ’26 from the Yale Bulldogs have been named the NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week. Kiedeing and Moeder won A-division at the Yale Women’s Interconference Regatta. They sailed a brilliant regatta with only one finish in double digits (tenth place in race six). After that race they finished the next four races in the top three, including a win in the penultimate race. Their performance helped earn their team the victory of seventeen of the best teams in the nation. Honorable Mention goes to Dartmouth’s Bella Casaretto ’26 and Grace Patterson ’29 who made strong charge on Sunday including a win in the final race in A-division. They finished second in the division only eight points behind Kieding and Moeder.
