St. Mary’s, MD – 3/27/22 – MIT’s Dana Haig ’22 and crews Shayne Bersin ’25 and Veronika Silkin ’22 are this week’s NEISA Women Sailors of the Week after a strong performance at the Seahawk Women’s Team Race Interconference. The Beavers went 14-4 and were undefeated in the final four round. Dana, Shayne and Nika were leaders on the water for their team, winning their battles for the pin and making important plays at the front of the race.

Providence, RI – 3/27/22 – Our Open Sailors of the Week are Shawn Harvey ’22, Sonia Lingos-Utley ’22 and Nathan Sih ’25 of Yale University for their performance at the Jan T. Friis Team Race hosted by Roger Williams University. The regatta was extremely competitive with tons of tight and exciting racing. The Shawn, Sonia and Nathan were able to stay composed and battle back into some close races, ultimately leading their team to the win in a close final four round.
Around the Conference:
Boston College won the Aaron Szambecki Team Race at ODU.
Brown won the Joseph R. Duplin Trophy (women’s team race) at Tufts.
Coast Guard won on their home turf at the Connecticut Valley Dinghy Championship Trophy.
URI won the J-70 Invitational #2 at CGA and the Staake Team Race Trophy at MIT.
Tufts won the Harpswell Sound Team Race at Bowdoin.
Brown Won the Boston University Team Race at BU.
Salve Regina won the Central Series at Mass Maritime.
