NEISA Teams of the Week, Spring 2025, Week 3


New London, CT – 3/16/25 – The Brown Bears are the NEISA Women’s team of the week for their victory at the Southern New England Women’s Team Race, hosted by Connecticut College concurrent with the open SNETR. The Bears showed their depth sailing a total of five skippers (Laura Hamilton ’27, Kaitlyn Hamilton ’26, Katherine McNamara ’26, Katharine Doble ’26, and Sidney Moyer ’27) and seven crews (Katherine Majette ’27, Laura Hamilton ’27, Menasha Leport ’25, Kaitlyn Hamilton ’26, Francesca Edmands ’25, Savannah Young ’25, and Janelle Li ’25) throughout the event. With a 13-2 record through the triple six-team round robin format, the Bears held a winning record against all five of their opponents. 

New London, CT – 3/16/25 – The defending national champion Roger Williams Hawks are back-to-back NEISA Open team of the week honorees after claiming another victory, this time at the Southern New England Team Race. They once again showed their depth sailing a total of five skippers (Lucy Meagher ’27, Kyle Pfrang ’26, Carlos de Castro ’26, Oliver Stokke ’26, and Mathieu Dale ’25) and four crews (Maren Matthews ’26, Claire Buckley, Carter Sheehan ’27, and Carly Kiss ’25). The 10-4 Hawks broke a tie for 1st with a 2-0 head-to-head record against Boston College to claim the win.
