University of Miami’s Team Race Squad, Clemson’s Miller and Bialek Earn SAISA Sailors of the Week Honors

At this past weekend's Bob Bavier Team Race hosted at the College of Charleston, the University of Miami team race squad put together an outstanding regatta securing wins over nationally ranked teams en route to an appearance in the final round and a 4th place overall finish, top amongst SAISA competitors at the event. The Hurricanes squad of Aidan Dennis (So., Kemah, TX), Dom Canonico (Sr., Tampa, FL), Atlee Kohl (So., St. Croix, USV), Natalie Elder (So., Boston, MA), Marshall McCann (Sr., Houston, TX), James Nappo (Jr., Chicago, IL), Steven Hardee (Fr., St. Croix, USV), and Teddy Bueres (Sr., Miami, FL) delivered a great performance over the two-day event and earned this week's SAISA Open Sailors of the Week honors.

In-conference competition continued this past weekend with the Tiger Town Trophy at Clemson where the home team secured a regatta win on the efforts of skippers Nilah Miller (So., Jackson, MS), and Sam Bialek (Jr., Metamora, MI) who finished the regatta with a combined three bullets and just one finish off the podium at the event. Miller and Bialek's strong showing and the regatta win moved the Clemson Tigers into the SAISA Top 5 and earned this week's SAISA Women's Sailors of the Week. Miller was also recognized as SAISA Women's SOTW last week. Congratulations to this week's SAISA Sailors of the Week!
