The College of Charleston's Noah Zittrer (So., Clear Falls, TX) and Chloe Hudgins (Sr., Jensen Beach, FL) are the SAISA Open Sailors of the Week after placing first in A-Division at the SAISA Fall Top 9 Invite Regatta and helping the host Cougars earn the regatta win this past weekend. The pair earned podium finishes in five of the six races in a combined 18-boat fleet featuring the top 9 teams in SAISA including securing two first place "bullets." Also at the SAISA Top 9, the University of South Florida Bulls' sailors Eden Nykamp (Jr., Holland, MI) and Brilan Christopher (Sr., Miami, FL) earned recognition as the SAISA Women's Sailors of the Week for their performance finishing 5th overall in the event, but more importantly helping to qualify the USF squad for a return trip to the ICSA Open Atlantic Coast Championships later this season.
Also of note, congratulations to the University of Florida and Duke University for securing a berth to the SAISA Fall Open Conference Championship Regatta with their strong finishes at the SAISA South and North Fall Tournaments respectively.

About the SAISA Sailors of the Week
Each week of the season, we’ll recognize outstanding performances by sailors across SAISA, as well as by SAISA sailors in competition out of conference. The selection process includes a nomination period each week ending on Sunday. A committee of SAISA coaches from both divisions selects sailors from the nominations received and will announce the SAISA Sailors of the Week early each week following the close of the nomination period. If you’d like to submit a nomination, email the sailor’s name, school, position, and what events or circumstances they demonstrated outstanding performance to SAISAsotw@gmail.com. Nominations close on Sunday at midnight EST and selections will be based on performances for the preceding week and that weekend. Selection categories may include open (co-ed) skipper, open crew, women’s skipper, women’s crew. Pairings or individual sailors may be nominated or selected.
